Canton FFA chapter is celebrating its 83rd year, due east of Dallas.  The Canton FFA Chapter was charted on November 1, 1935.  We are apart of the Mineola District and Area VI Association.  We have over 250 members in our chapter, and many participate in many different Career Development Event's (CDE's), Leadership Development Event's (LDE's), Livestock Shows (both at the local, county, and major show levels), and Speaking events. The members are not only active in the agriculture world but also in athletics, band, choir, art, and other school programs.

Brief Canton FFA History

The Canton FFA was established during the 1935-1936 School year. Canton FFA started as a one teacher ag department. It wasn't until the 1974-1975 school year that we became a two teacher department. Then in the 1977-1978 school year, we added a third ag teacher. We went back to two teachers beginnig with 1986-1987, but once again became a three teacher departement in 2014-2015.
